6 Customer Service Tips That Aren’t In The Job Description

Working in customer service is one of those jobs in which many skills are learned by experience. No two customers will have the same style of communication when it comes to clarity, tone and personality, so it’s important to have the ability to communicate efficiently with many different types of people. Last summer, I worked as a customer service representative for performance events, which involved speaking to different customers on a daily basis. These are things I learned on the job that I could not have received from any employee training or preparation.
